Kataclysm5
Does anyone have a pair of these things? I've been debating whether or not to get a pair, but I'm not sure if they are worth getting. Can anyone give me some info?
GoldieWilson
http://www.c3dnow.com/ http://www.i-glasses.com/Store/3dpcinternet.php3?redirected=1 http://www.stereo3d.com/3dhome.htm http://www.vrcaddy.com/main_menu.htm I collected those links while I debated to buy one a few months ago. When I finally did, There were no drivers for my operating system, and they only came out after I returned it. If you want a cheap preview- and have a NVidia card go and download the nvidia 3d stereoscopic drivers, and set it to not use the normal settings, but the colored 3d, like on old comic books and movies with one lens being blue and the other red, stea- borrow a pair of those glasses and test it out. Its also a good way to see if it will work with your favorite games. By the way, if you do buy some 3d glasses, dont buy the old elsa 3d revelators, I bought one and it was in storage so long the internal circuit board wiring peeled from the board itself. Stupid germans. Anyways many games often don't work well with the 3d settings. For instance, in max payne the wall marks are 3d rendered seperately so they appear to jump off the wall and slap you in the face. Half life worked great- for ten seconds. Then I shot one bullet out of my m4 and my computer crashed. You also must have a new-ish moniter and graphics card on a lower res to achive a 100hertz refresh rates. Also if you are using 2k or xp, the only way you can get your drivers to support the new games is to wait for new drivers to come out where you can select your game from a long list.
