SAIK HUAT Posted June 24, 2002 Author Posted June 24, 2002 Thanx for the tip, cus I found it useful... I have already weighted the mesh onto the bone so I dont really want to cut the model in half like the tutorial tells me to. If I use the same mesh but n a different file, will the skin still fit onto the model. Is there any way I can skin my model without ruining the weights I have already implemented?
sithlord-II Posted June 24, 2002 Posted June 24, 2002 you will have to re-weight the model no matter what, if you want to have it UV mapped.
SAIK HUAT Posted June 24, 2002 Author Posted June 24, 2002 well I think space_monkeys tutorial shoundnt of had the uvmapping near the end of putting the model in-game No bother tho...
musashi212 Posted June 24, 2002 Posted June 24, 2002 i'll give it a try, i won't promise results. Though I have been itching to try out this new program "texporter". I finally have it figured out.

Ill send you the model with the weights, but I think after you skin it (if you want to) it will need re-weighting. I have stopped the project for now to try and change the mesh alittle before I skin it/weight it. I will still send ou the file tho...
