Sounds Risky Posted June 24, 2002 Posted June 24, 2002 Wouldn't that require new animations because he's not humanoid?
iTeM Posted June 24, 2002 Posted June 24, 2002 yeah, he's the right height for a nine-year-old anakin, not an adult. Am I wrong?
Grafox Posted June 24, 2002 Posted June 24, 2002 Well, I don't think it would be a problem, since sebulba is always flying. He could just float Then make the "legs" invisible, so it lookst like he is flying.
Delmar Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 Grafox, I think you're thinking of Watto. As for Sebulba, why couldn't someone make a humanoid version of him? With a little artistic license it could be done.
nucular_jedi_14 Posted June 25, 2002 Author Posted June 25, 2002 cause the other day i was watchin episode 1 and the idea poped up in my head so who could we get to do the model?

Delmar Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 ah, but not if he were a 6 foot crossbreed... I'm liking this idea.
ondraedan Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 only problem is he walks on his hands and keeps his legs bent above the floor, there would have to be new anims...i think he'd be more trouble than he's worth
Delmar Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 you could make a model that is humanoid meaning he would have a human-shaped body (biped, etc) but still is true to the character in that it would have the same textures, etc... the face is what would be key
nucular_jedi_14 Posted June 25, 2002 Author Posted June 25, 2002 he is humanoid sort of anyway so i don't see a problem with that.
Sounds Risky Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 If he was humanoid he wouldn't be walking on his hands and driving with his feet. A humanoid Sebulba would just look goofy.
Delmar Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 WOW, we made it almost 15 posts without a naysayer! That must be a new record on these forums. I personally do not think it would look "goofy" but if done well, it could be accomplished and look feasible. If you think otherwise, go get softimage and show me that your way is better.
Delmar Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 not at the moment. i have some friends who are in the modeling scene but are all tied up with current projects. we'll have to see...
nucular_jedi_14 Posted June 26, 2002 Author Posted June 26, 2002 i'm really hiped about this project idea!
Delmar Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 just be sure you don't put all your hopes into my last post.. these are people that have their own priorities, ideas, etc. it's not like i can just say "hey dude- make this for me."
nucular_jedi_14 Posted June 26, 2002 Author Posted June 26, 2002 i know people have there own projects too, so i'm just gonna wait it out until we can find someone who will try this model out for us.
inbredyokel Posted June 28, 2002 Posted June 28, 2002 Hmm, oddly enough, this thread has me more thrilled about the prospect of a toydarian model. I wonder if it would be possible to create the flapping wing effect with an animated texture....
