Master Shawn
For my saber, which wil soon(hopefully) be done with its UVWMap stage, can I use a shader for my texture or not? If I could it would be nice, could make the saber shiny, if not, crap
musashi212
I think you'll have to do that in Photoshop. I know you can add a shader under the renderign engine in 3dstudio max. IF you want shine, try the motion blur and chrome combo. In photoshop that is.
Master Shawn
I was thinking of making the texture, then making a shader, and put a gleam texture(from EF) over it, id place all the stuff in the pk3, it might work, ill have to try...

CheshireKat
Well, i've yet to get into shaders, but once UV'ed, skin it like metal, and you need to make the skin out of a TGA instead of a Jpeg, and do some sort of apha channel stuff (that's the part I've yet to mess with) then create a shiny shader (which also I've not done) and write a shader file to tell the shader to apply itself to the saber.
