RichDiesal Posted June 28, 2002 Share Posted June 28, 2002 FPS will vary from system to system... you need to keep two things down - triangle count and transparencies. Triangle count can be seen by issuing the console command r_speeds 1 while in cheat mode. The number just before "tris" is the one you're looking for. For SP, this number should never go above about 16000 with all enemies on the screen. For MP Duel, this number should never go above about 15000. For all other MP modes, this number should never go about 10000-12000. You can SEE the individual triangles on the screen by issuing the console command r_showtris 1 in SP cheat mode (doesn't work in the MP engine). As for transparencies, just don't use too many shaders or fx_runners to keep that lag down. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
