RichDiesal
Doors: http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/br201lsn5.html Switches for those Doors: http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/br201lsn7.html Force Fields, I haven't written, but it's the same concept as a door except you put the force field on a func_usable. Takeoffyouhoser
Well Rich, Your door tutorial confused the heck out me... actually it was the frame you made and its description that got lost on me.. All i did to make a normal Imperial door after much confusing is just make a brush...* gasp* which is a door. Then, made that brush a Func_door. Next, I built the frame on one side...then cloned it and pasted it to the other side. Furthermore, I added two brushes where the sides of the door are, to block the 'void' when it is raised. These brushes are the same dimensions as the frame. now, I didn't caulk all my brushes first because, for a first time door maker, its easier to see everything textured. Then, go back and caulk all the non visible sides... finally, the fun stuff....making it lifelike..... To add sound bring up the N key and just type in your values, just like in rich's lesson....then hit enter....it will appear above in the box Key: Soundset Value: impdoor 1 Thats the sound of psssss Key: Lip value: 8 This is what Raven used for their lip value, so i'm using it too Then select 'up' right next to the 360 degree keys, this will make your door go UP! it will appear as -1 in the box... then, make one out....test it...if it works....clone it and use it!!
