Ok I did waht the people did to get there server running.It didn't work for me.SCREW THOSE TRHEADS!Ok, I just want to make my own server.Everybody says to go to "el crapo sticky threads".WTF IS IT WITH THREADS THAT DONT HELP!?Ok well, all I want to know is what is the thing you have to type in for win32 server.AHEM, I SAID I TRYED THOSE THAT WERE ON THE STICKY THREADS!Give me something different that might work this time.

The thing that [sick] posted was no good.I copyed and pasted to the server.cfg, tested and guess what?BOO!

Yes,when I frist pasted it I put it to my liking.Tested, still doesn't work.Tested, still doesn't work.Tested, still doesn't work.I did that 3 times cuase I thought someone that said this would work without the person not telling the truth.So what I am asking for is the thing I REALLY NEED TO MAKE THE SERVER WORK!!!!!!!!!!! STICKY THREADS SUCK!

What error are you getting? It just doesn't work will not get you any help. What is it doing? Is it just crapping out? Can't see your server on the internet? Getting an error message? If so what is the error? You have to give a little more info to get help.

Ok, well first off, the title is something I wanted to put in on this reply.Here is waht the message says.

 

JK2DED.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows(maybe thats why it wont work?DUH!)

You will need to restart the program

 

An error log is being created.

If you are using Windows 2000 or XP I would suggest running it in it's own memory space. Create a shortcut to jk2ded and add your options to the launch line.

c:\jk2\jk2ded +exec server.cfg

 

There is an option to run it in its own memory space. See if that helps. Or conversely you might want to download the binary again. Could just be a bad download.

Err, I think that did it.I dont see the error anymore.So waht do I do now?Go play or is there more to it?

Oh and, today, the master server was working just fine. Then I couldn't find any servers.I did refresh many times and get new list many times and finally got a list.WTF.I dont see alot of servers like there used to be!I dont see a server I join all the time!If this happedn to you,please tell me!And I dont see my server on master server!

Actually you probably won't see your server in the master list yourself. I don't see mine. I see it on local servers. People connect in fine to it so I know it can be seen on the master list. So long as you do not get any errors when the server is "Sending Heartbeat" your server should be showing up fine.

 

As for fewer servers... well I have noticed that there are a lot fewer too. Could be an influx of idiot gamers. I had to kick and ban a few last night. While they weren't cheating (I have pure server enabled) they were ruining the game experience for other people. I asked them politely to stop, and well they decided to cause a ruckus. I got so frustrated I banned them. Something I almost never do. I have a few friends who have stopped running servers because of the rabble that connect.

Well, whats supposed to be saying sending heartbeat?The JK2 Engine, or the ded server?Because if it is the dedicated server that says sending heartbeat I have a problem.It's a problem because after typing in waht you said nothing pops up with errors and nothing pops up with anything saying about the server starting!
