Maya is used more for 3d stuff in movies and stuff, and 3ds max is more based on in game cinematics and character modeling and animating. I gave 3dsmax my vote though, becasue it's interface is a lot easier, and its quicker to pick up, at least in my opinion. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Padme01 Posted July 2, 2002 Share Posted July 2, 2002 3D Studio Max doesn't have true SubD support, Maya does... therefore, technically, Maya is a better modelling program, regardless of whether or not you like it more.
