dimi30
I would like to know how to do the water effects on yavin swamp when the rain falls on it.
Altimira
i think its an fxrunner. just make a map with alot of fxrunners. i did that to see what they do. make sure you separate each one or the frame rate will crash.
RichDiesal
I believe that the rain and the water have nothing to do with each other... the water simply is animated to look like water is dropping on it while there's an fx_rain entity making the physical rain fall (I think). dimi30
To Altimira: Well on the Yavin Swamp map there is lot of water so I don't think it would be efficient to use so many fx runners. To RichDiesal: So you mean its a shader or something?
Wes Marrakesh
No, he is saying ( i think) That if there is rain in a level which is an fx_runner, the water will automatically adjust ( )
RichDiesal
No no, I'm saying that's not it. The fx_rain entity by itself just makes rain appear. I believe it's a quality of the water itself (the shader) that makes a droplet effect on the surface.
