Ravic Posted July 3, 2002 Posted July 3, 2002 I don't know much about modeling but I want to get into it. I know this question has be asked a million times but where do I go to start. What programs do I need? Thanks.
Grets Sirob Posted July 3, 2002 Posted July 3, 2002 Modeling? I have no idea. I doubt many people here in the mapping forum do. But if you mean mapping then there are two to chose from, pick one, and see if it works. If it doesn't, then try the other. I'm sure others will come to give the links to the two. (I use GTK ) I shall rule the galaxy.
Ravic Posted July 3, 2002 Author Posted July 3, 2002 lol I put it on the wrong one. Sorry about that.

Derisor Posted July 3, 2002 Posted July 3, 2002 Use Gmax. Its a trimmed down, and free version, of 3d studio max by Discreet Software. Dowload it and the help files and tutorial from thei site. http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax
RichDiesal Posted July 4, 2002 Posted July 4, 2002 ...this thread has been moved to Modelling for your convenience...
Chiss Lord Posted July 4, 2002 Posted July 4, 2002 Other option is Milkshape. Its easier to learn, but you only have it for 31 days before you need to pay $20 Search for it at Download.com
Jon'a Posted July 4, 2002 Posted July 4, 2002 would lightwave be a practical choice to import models into jk2?
