stevemjp
I'm having problems with the sound during cutscenes. It's really choppy and you cant hear whats going on. I have a win2k system, 256b ram, p3 800, 64mb 3d prophet 4500 and SB PCI 128. I've got the latest drivers/directx, tried older driver versions, uninstalled, reinstalled but no joy. I've tried running the game on the lowest settings and it still jumps. I did find that if you put the patch on and enable the EAX (even though my sound card doesn't support it), it stops jumping - but the gameplay slows down noticably. Basically - can anyone help? Firemann816
Have read numerous posts about jittery video and stuttering sound like happened to me once. I did the Nvidia drivers/DirectX tango lather, rinse repeat. I looked at the NVidia tool and noticed it's AGP was in PCI emulation mode??? Went to my motherboard manufacturer's page (Asus) and got their VIA chipset drivers. Nvidia now says AGP 4X and the game is stable. Just a thought if the DirectX&Video drivers dont work for you try something for your motherboard, as I was running the MS default ones it detected during Windows Setup.
