Derisor Posted July 5, 2002 Posted July 5, 2002 Has anyone tried runnign GMax on WinXP? Thinking of upgrading my OS and am looking for info on it.
Ansible Posted July 5, 2002 Posted July 5, 2002 Gmax runs fine on XP. I recommend updating, I love XP . So there are a few old programs that don't run, you can always download the patch for them (if there is one). The only that hasn't ran for me so far is the driver that came with my printer/scanner/fax/copier, but I got the update driver, so it runs fine.
Twisted Vertex Posted July 5, 2002 Posted July 5, 2002 XP rocks....though i had some trouble getting jk2 to work at first. You'll just nned to update new drivers.
KapnKeg Posted July 5, 2002 Posted July 5, 2002 I'm not so sure that this is the proper place to get into windows xp tips, but it seems to be (at least a little) relevant. If your having trouble running a certain program and you think xp might be the protagonist (I've actually found it to be very reliable) you can try right clicking on the program or file that you're trying to run. Select properties and click on the compatibility tab at the top of the window. Check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" box and then choose an OS that you know your program works under. In theory, this should be enough to run whatever xp-incompatible software you may have. Again, in theory.
