I Have a Cable Modem and i am trying to make a practice server for me and my members. But when ever i make a server no 1 can ever find iT! Does the server have to be a dedicated? Do i need a certain mod to make a server?Do the Server settings have to be sumthing special? SUPERLEN Posted July 8, 2002 Share Posted July 8, 2002 Er, try this (I haven't yet, so I don't know if it works): Making non-dedicated servers show up in the serverlist. All of you that are unhappy because only dedicated servers show up in the gamelist might interest that theres a way to (mind)trick the masterserver into thinking you are running a dedicated server. The only thing you have to do is creating a dedicated internetserver first. This will drop you back to desktop. Wait for the "sending heartbeat" message, then click on quit. If you now create a non-dedicated server it should show up in the list. Normally this works as long as your IP doesn't change.
