Vulcanus Admin Mod

Yeah, right up until today I was running the adminmod permanently. I really liked it, only big problem was in controlling the empower command amongst my admins. Seemed like that was abused most often on my server. Not real bad or anything, just pisses ya off when every other map an admin is empowering himself. That's usually when I change the rconpword and slap them around a bit. lol

I hope the modder sees this thread and updates his mod soon to support the official 1.04 code. Then again probably would help if they had the SDK out.

AS soon as the mod is updated I plan on using adminmod once again.

read the readme for the vulcanus adminmod when i dled it but being computer illiterate i still dont really understand how to load the mod. I have the adminmod folder in my gamedata and the pk3 files in there.. the part i dont understand in the readme is this part:

+set fs_+

Usage:

Create a directory called adminmod (In your JKII dir under Linux or in your GameData dir under Windows) and

put the adminmod.pk3 in that dir.

Then just start the server normally and add this to the commandline:

+set fs_game adminmod

Example:

"....\jk2mp.exe" +set fs_game adminmod +exec server.cfg

is the command line the line thing that let's you type things when you start up the server? if so do i just type +set fs_game adminmod and that is it?

ahh this is soo confusing!!!

I assume you are using a windows machine to host your server on. Create a shortcut to the jk2Ded.exe. right click on the shorctut and select PROPERTIES. In the TARGET LINE type +set fs_game adminmod after the jk2Ded.exe. Now when you click on the shortcut your server will be running the mod.

so your target line should look like this (if you installed jk2 in the default directory):

C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\jk2Ded.exe +set fs_game adminmod

I hope i said this right...:D

oh for the

Create a directory called adminmod (In your JKII dir under Linux or in your GameData dir under Windows) and

put the adminmod.pk3 in that dir.

just make another folder in your gamedata folder and put the .pk3 in there.
