kng863 Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 i am playing MI 1 and got to the part where i retrieved the banana picker but didn't give it to Herman T. when he appears at the village. I walk pass him and leave the village, but then later return to find him gone. I still have the banana picker, but i know that i need to trade it for the cotton swab key. Is this a bug that the developers didn't foresee some people might do? Or, is there a solution to this? I can't proceed forward without the cotton swab key.
checkmate Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 I encountered this "bug" before, but I was able to complete the game. Go to Herman's Fort on the volcano. When Herman shows up, give him the banana picker. Viola!

Ztev Posted July 15, 2002 Posted July 15, 2002 I don't know if this is a "bug". If I recall correctly (which I don't think I do), Herman wanders around all over the place. You can go to the village and he won't be there, then return later and he will. The same with his Fort, sometimes he's there, others not, and I think he turns up at other places as well.
