fr0zenC3PO
Hey, guys whats up. Well i just got the game and i have been playing the single player so far, no multiplayer yet. Anways, i am having a problem with the new patch that just came out. I downloaded it right from LucasArts and when i went to click on the patch program, it would simply not run. I tried clicking it about a dozen times, but to no avail. Did i get a corrupt file or do i have to have a previous patch for the game first: help, i am new at this! Oh, and i look forward to see y'all online
GabrielXen
It says it can't find Star Wars JKII: Jedi Outcast, and that's cause it doesn't exist... As far as I can tell, you can't put a ":" in the folder name... What's up with this...? -Gabriel-
GabrielXen
The patch was looking on my C: for the game, but I had installed the game on my slave drive(D: )... I just uninstalled the game on the D:, installed it on the C:, patched it, and moved it to the D: from there.... Is your game on a second hard drive...? If so, try what I did... -Gabriel-
SithMaster2003
GabrielXen, I have the same problem as you. I ran into the same problem with the 1.03 patch, but somehow i fixed it to read the game on my second hard drive. unfortunately, i either dont remember what i did right or the 1.04 patch just wont accept my changes. I would move everything onto my other hard drive, but it is too small to handle the game. I tried to contact Lucasarts about the problem, but while i was running a directx diagnostic, my computer decided to restart. i dont think my computer likes to run the little dxdiag program. If anyone has any ideas, please help, i am running out of 1.03 servers to play on, everyone is movin over to 1.04 but me
GabrielXen
Do you have the game installed on your C: drive...? That's all my problems was; it was looking for the game on C:, but I had it on D:... Other than that, I can't be of much help... -Gabriel-
SithMaster2003
well, after some severe tampering with my hard drives, i got it to work. in the process i have ended up with a v1.04 on my c: drive and a v1.03 on my f: (second) hard drive. They both work right, so i am one happy sob right now I think LucasArts or Raven, whoever made the patches, needs to look at how the patches install them selves. I know most people's hard drive is labeled c:, but some of us in this world have a second hard drive where we like to put things. I mean, if they could put an option on the patch to let you select which drive to install it on, like you do when you install, then playing the newer enhanced version of JO would be a whole lot more fun. Thanks for the help.
GabrielXen
I'm in complete agreement with you... I had the patch for almost a week before I thought of a solution for the prob... I almost gave up on it... Sometimes, though, I think it would've been better to stay with 1.03, so if you have both, you have the best of both worlds... lol -Gabriel-
SithMaster2003
Well, I am still missing out on the pre-patch version, but the reproblem is, no one runs any of those servers. oh well, good gaming.
