Absurd Posted July 16, 2002 Share Posted July 16, 2002 The admin of the server did not install the assets5.pk3 into his server's base directory. This basically turns 1.04 back into 1.03. If you experience this, let the admin know, and/or post the server name here so we can avoid such a server. Apparently, some admins are doing this on purpose to bypass the backstab/sweep fixes in 1.04. Raven really needs to fix the patch again and make sure that the 1.04 exe's REQUIRE the assets5.pk3 file. Raven needs to re-release the Linux and Win32 Dedicated server binaries to only run properly if they find the "assets5.pk3" file. That would solve the problem.
