CC-Republic-Mission4-Help!

I searched the first two pages of the forum but couldn't find this so I created a new post......

I'm playing the above mission on Moderate and it is stressing me out :swear: I'm finding it very difficult can anyone offer advice.

My difficulties stem from the following factors I think:

Can't seem to place your CC anywhere

Can't plant farms

Very little food, nova and ore

Not much of an army to start with

To get past the last two I loaded everyone onto the four transports you're given and went to the upper right quadrant of the map where there is a horde of animals and ore. Still restricted on where I can put my CC.... I advance to tech levels 3 & 4 about the same time as the enemy but uses most of my resources to do so. My enemy on the other hand comes at me with air attacks, pummels, artillery, driodekas, troopers and just about anything else you care to think of. The enemy has an unbelievable economy while I'm still trying to get mine off 'its knees'.

Any advice.........?

Laugh, I had a lot of fun with this mission because I took it pretty much the most direct way you could. I took all my fighters, troops, and Echuu down the left side, all the way to the back end of the enemy base. I send my workers down the right side to destroy the animal shelter and then built one of my own (after which I had them gather resources of whatever was nearby).

In the base, I converted workers with echuu while I used my forces to destroy whatever was close down there. I used my coverted workers to build a CC within the enemy base, close to various resources. Then I worked my way from there out. I did a heck of a lot of conversions then and finally ended up leveling most of the base with about 20 artillery (not even sure I worried about getting tech four). Talk about rushing... when all was said and done, I didn't have very much of the map covered, mainly just the quarter of it where the enemy base was.

Yeah that's the approach I took. Another thing that makes this mission really tough is that your population limit is reduced to 75 too......

I personally thought that was a :swear: of a mission - too tough to begin with............?

And those enemy workers rebuild things alarmingly quickly......
