Tigris Posted July 17, 2002 Posted July 17, 2002 Ok, I'm at least partly back from my 3 week vacation. I still have to replace my CPU, but for now I'll try to work on my maps again. Here are some beta shots of new things. I'll leave them uncommented, coz I don't know yet if I really will leave them that way.
Skellington Posted July 18, 2002 Posted July 18, 2002 Looks great...particularly love that shot across "Downtown" Mos-Eisley!
Lucko Mabri Posted July 18, 2002 Posted July 18, 2002 *cheers* Yay Tigris is back Well sort of... The map is looking very nice Hope to see more soon! -Lucko Mabri
Tigris Posted July 18, 2002 Author Posted July 18, 2002 Well, right now I'm angry because I can't switch boards: I'm changing from AMD Slot-K7 to Intel and some VIA-Board Drivers have hidden somewhere making it impossible to access the HD with the Intel-Board. And I'm not willing to reinstall Windows again... So I'm sitting in front of a 800 Mhz sytem with a 2.2 Ghz CPU right before my face... PS: Here is the VIS time of the last compile: 11844.00 seconds elapsed
Tigris Posted July 22, 2002 Author Posted July 22, 2002 Just made some new screens and wanted to share them. Comments? So, hopefully I'll finish the fleamarket soon- after that comes the speeder-sale behind it... Much work left- gotta go
Hanch Saode Posted July 22, 2002 Posted July 22, 2002 Well....welcome back then m8 :D Those pic's look really cool, and I hope you will keep working on them Harm.... Sp keep it up...
Tigris Posted July 22, 2002 Author Posted July 22, 2002 I'll do. As I said somewhere else already: If all goes along well I'll releasing a new version at the end of the week.
Hanch Saode Posted July 22, 2002 Posted July 22, 2002 Thx You have just ensured me a good nights sleep!
spacermonkey Posted July 23, 2002 Posted July 23, 2002 looking good tigris. Will there be bot support for the map ?
Locke101 Posted July 24, 2002 Posted July 24, 2002 how do you get those light rays like in screen shot 4?
Tigris Posted July 24, 2002 Author Posted July 24, 2002 @spacermonkey: Yes, but unfortunately not in this version- If anyone knows his ways very well around bot-routes etc he's welcome to make one and submit it to me. In my tests it was extremly difficult to let a bot navigate through the cantina @Lock101: I got it from a german mapper- dunno where he got it from (or is that the Q3 thing? ) I can mail it to you if you want to, just tell me where to. @everyone: So new Pics- just to keep you excited Hope you like these. I have changed some smaller things again already- Had differed from the plan I have- but hopefully I finish the flea-market by tonight...
superdude201 Posted July 24, 2002 Posted July 24, 2002 Those screens look brilliant. I can't wait for the new version to come out the beta version was brilliant and there is no doubt that this will be better. Thank you for making such a great map.
superdude201 Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 I've just seen a screenshot of where that balcony was and i like the way you have made it into a staircase to the roof so u can go in a building. You know the building with th balcony will you be able to go through the door then up the steps to the balcony. Can't wait for its release.
Tigris Posted July 31, 2002 Author Posted July 31, 2002 Well, right now the process is slowing down for a moment because of three things- first of all (one I never thought possible): the weather- it's simply to hot to work in front of the PC. Second: I'm still working on my replacement system, even more with the compile time going over the roof lately (20 hours right now). And I'm starting in a new job tomorrow, which has 11 hour shifts- so that I'm a bit busy right now. Hopefully I can get the most things figured out by next week. Until then, here are two new pictures for your delight, hope you like em:
superdude201 Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 Looks like it has more buildings and more buildings u can go into which makes it better for rpg. Your cantina map rules.
K.O Posted August 3, 2002 Posted August 3, 2002 With all the RPG maps we can get, do we really need SWG? ;D This is going to be great! Question though. Can you have music on the outside of the actual cantina area, and when you get in the cantina you hear the cantina music? Just for assurance. Maybe we don't need music at all on the outside though..
Tigris Posted August 4, 2002 Author Posted August 4, 2002 I'm still looking for someone to ask for the athentication for that music, but up til now I haven't found ONE email-address that I could mail to. I'll continue looking, though. Right now I have the music integrated, but only in the cantina. You can hear it in a small radius outside (because of the windows etc). I'm still working on a building (didn't look realistic, so I had to make some adjustments...). But hopefully soon I'll get to finish the new version.
