can somebody PLEASE tell me how to use shaders with ShaderEd2 (tips/tricks/tutorials/links)? :confused:

 

the link provided by kman explains shaders in general, and i do understand that. and i thought i had ShaderEd2 all figured out ... guess i was wrong.

i was so impressed with the shader (environment map) on the helmet flange and the shader for the chest box on the revised vader model, i just had to contact cheshire kat, sithlord-ii, and arco ... one of them had to have figured it out, so it couldn't hurt to ask them. sithlord-ii told me pretty much the same thing you did, even telling me to open the vader shader (hey, that rhymed) file to see exactly how he did it. he ALSO recommended downloading q3ase (along with a tutorial - both from polycount), the shader editor for quake 3 ... it works with the quake 3 engine, hence it should work with JKII. thanks again, sithlord-ii!
