Hey everyone

I was wondering how I make a skin with transparent parts in it (using this for a tattered cape). I know it has to do with alpha channels, but I'm not sure of the specifics. Anyone know? And could anyone point me to a tutorial on shaders and alpha channels? Thanks

i've been in contact with sithlord-ii regarding shaders ... i was so impressed with the shaders used on the new vader model, i thought he could help me with some shader questions for a couple of skins i'm working on. anyway, i was under the assumption that ShaderEd2 would be the software to use, but it's supposedly a major pain in the @$$. he told me to go to polycount.com and download q3ase (Quake 3: Arena Shader Editor), which works with JKII b/c it uses the quake engine. click here to download it. there's also a tutorial for q3ase here which should help.

lemme guess, you're gonna use alpha channels on spawn's cape?
