Nerevar
When I want to do a mod, do I *have* to edit the actual source and make a .dll or can I just alter a couple files, put them into a pk3 and be done with it?
Arkule
depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
Nerevar
----BuMp--- -ok, what if I want to make a mod like jedi moves where I change the rolling and jumping styles? do I have to edit the source, or just the animation.cfg and bg_pmove.c? Arkule
bg_pmove.c is part of the source. I've never done anything with animations, so i'm not really sure. You could change lightsaber colors, models, music, pictures and most of that stuff just by replacing the ones that are there with what you have. I'm not sure what you can do with data files (i prefer just editing the code) but i think there is quite a bit you could do with those without editing the code. Nerevar
Thanks, that helps clear up some things, but is there anyone out there who has worked with animations before? I just want to work with the ones that are in the game already and swap them wth each other. (ie roll with cartwheel)
