gmax to 3ds max

hi all,,,

I was wondering (for all you experienced 3d modelers out there) if there was a way to import gmax files to 3ds max or vice versa? When I go to open it shows the thumbnail but doesnt recognize the file format. I sometimes find that gmax is easier then 3ds so I use both. If theres a way please tell me. Thanks - Mix Master

In gmax go to file, click export, and export it as a 3ds file.

 

Then in 3dstudio go to import and just import it.

 

I works the same both ways.
