Sky Boxes- Again :(

Ok, I have realized some difficulties with the skyboxes, namely that it shines through doors when compiled and that it seems that all 6 sides give away some ambient-like light.

 

My question is:

a) Is there a way to make the doors solid in terms of lighting?

and

b) Is there a way to make a skybox that doesn't have the ambient light?

As for doors, you could make an invisible shader that had the property "surfaceparm opaque", place it in the middle of the door, and I think that would block off light.

 

As for the light, make sure your sky's shaderscript doesn't have a q3map_surfacelight or sun line. Both of those will emit light.
