Tigris Posted July 24, 2002 Share Posted July 24, 2002 Ok, I have realized some difficulties with the skyboxes, namely that it shines through doors when compiled and that it seems that all 6 sides give away some ambient-like light. My question is: a) Is there a way to make the doors solid in terms of lighting? and b) Is there a way to make a skybox that doesn't have the ambient light? RichDiesal Posted July 24, 2002 Share Posted July 24, 2002 As for doors, you could make an invisible shader that had the property "surfaceparm opaque", place it in the middle of the door, and I think that would block off light. As for the light, make sure your sky's shaderscript doesn't have a q3map_surfacelight or sun line. Both of those will emit light. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
