Nhoj Posted July 24, 2002 Share Posted July 24, 2002 Gamespy alone is a company. They have two major products that are used for game launching. The first (my favorite) is GameSpy3D. It works with just about any multi-player game. You set up "groups" based on the game in question and it list the game servers with address, ping time, etc. To enter a particular server, just double-click it and it will launch the the game and connect to that server. It's a really nice tool. It also allows me to setup buddy lists so I can see if someone I know is playing on any given server. The other/newer one (which I hate) is GameSpy arcade....it has a built-in IRC client so you can chat on the GameSpy servers/channels, but the interface is way too clunky for me.
