Guest Downward Spyral
Hey all. I just upgraded to Windows XP Professional and am having problems with running CC. It starts fine, and the menus are smooth as ever, but when the actual gameplay starts, the cursor skips, and the game lags like nothing I've ever seen before. I understand XP uses a lot more resources than my previous Windows Me OS. XP uses 128 mb of RAM, and CC uses 64 mb. That still leaves 96 mb leeway on my 288 mb RAM system. I've updated all my drivers and nothing I do seems to speed things up. Keep in mind GB runs great, i only experience these problems on CC. I've submitted an email to Lucasarts Technical Support, but figured I'd try here too. I'm still getting used to the NT technology, so upon posting a solution, try being gentle.. lol
jcb231
Use Cntrl-Alt-Delete to close any and all "background" programs that may be running and eating up resources....generally all you need to leave running are systray, explorer, and a few other key items.
