Twisted Vertex
yes, If you want to get good start reading and smoking heavily. The smoking is for when you get PISSED ....forget the smoking part ok....Milkshape has tons of tutorials from their main site. read those and make sure you understand the interface completely. also goingt to the library or barns and noble wouldn't hurt ethier. Jason_W
My advice is to start modelling a saber first. I used milkshape for mine and it's really quite simple when you get the hang of it.
MacD
Hey, it's good to find someone who has the same approach to modeling as me, Musashi! And to TC: the most important thing about modeling is to just get a program and do it. Hands-on experience beats reading a book ten times out of ten. Although it does help to read a tutorial or two hundred (http://www.polycount.com for a start). And don't give up in the first hour. And remember there are helpfiles! That last one is very important. Nobody likes questions to which the answers are readily found.
Twisted Vertex
Oh, they are help files, and helpful people. find a message board where you comfortable with asking questions. I found 3dbuzz to be a great site to pick peoples brain. Also chat with people on msn, and always ask questions
