slow frame rate - yavin_swamp level

my system :

 

amd 1800xp

512 DDR 2700

GF 4 Ti 4400

2 x 40Go Raid

onboard Via sound chipset

 

Before level "yavin_swamp", everything ran smoothly :

settings high or very high

32 bits

shadow simple

(NVmax settings : AA 2x, Anisotropy 4x)

 

i always got between 60fps and 100 fps

 

But when i started yavin_swamp level, the fps dropped to 20 / 30 fps ... I tried to modify many settings, but i only won 5 fps.

 

Is it due to this map ?

Is there a trick to increase the fps ?

Which setting do i have to lower to get back 60 fps (or more ) ?

not much can be done about it, the swamp is slow for everyone.

Slow is a word I would consider too weak.

 

By saying that, you insulted slow things everywhere.
