JediMasterEd Posted August 6, 2002 Share Posted August 6, 2002 I really think the turrets should be able to attack air, though it won't very accurate, at least it's something for a light AA Laser Turrets around the base. Then there will be real trenches (Episode 4 Death Star Runs). what do you think? should there be an upgrade in the next patch (if there will be one) for the turrets to attack air? Kryllith Posted August 6, 2002 Share Posted August 6, 2002 Nah, the differences in what can and cannot attack air are keys to developing strategy. As it stands, the game requires people to anticipate and prepare for specific types of assaults. Someone competing against the TF, Gungans, Imperials, or Confed are more liable to develop laser turrents because the air of the opposing confeds are relatively weak. If laser turrets could attack both air and ground, then people will just ignore building AA turrets (even if the lasers don't hit very well, an abundance of AA-capable laser turrets will work to compensate while decimating ground troops as well.)
