In the room with the pistons how do i jump to the second one with out dying?

Wait for it to go a bit lower than the first one, then double jump over.

There is a little shelf of sorts between each pair of pistons. The object is to jump from a piston, onto that shelf, and use that shelf to bridge the distance to the next piston.

On a side note, after you jump onto the first piston, jump to the shelf on the left, and run back towards the corner - you'll find a helpful credit.

The shelf inbetween the pistons is for girls... because they have no coordination to wait for the piston to be right at the maximum height enough to run out and jump to the the middle of the next piston.
