gtkradient quick view not rendering?

I started playing with GTK and just built my first room. The preview window in the top right corner will only texture walls if im positioned right next to them... i figure this isnt normal since bubba's tutorial screens showed the whole room textured..

 

any ideas?

Check out the cubic clipping option. I think it is under the view menu
