Modeling, what programs do I need?

Hi,

Since I'm looking for something new to do I'd like to try modeling. So what programs do I need, where can I get them, and where can I find tutorials on how to use them?

For creating the mesh, you can use Maya, 3Dstudio, Milkshape, or Gmax (a free program from discreet.com). To correctly import and export for Assimilate, you HAVE to use 3D Studio v4.0 or later (because Raven only released the tool for that).

Okay I got gmax 1.1 so where do I get this 3d thingy?

Come on help me out here a little please. I can't get the tutorial under help to work. Is there any place else to get other tutorials.

Go to the Gmax page, and download the tutorials.

Yeah I found the tutorial stuff. Kman if you want you can close this thread since I found all the tutorials and stuff I need. Now I just have to figure the tutorials out
