nomad
Does anyone know a good reason for this? I went to compile a new project and the dos screen came up for 2 seconds and then claimed to be finished. I've tried compiling projects that I already had done as well, but it does the same for them. I re-installed my editing tools, checked the project settings paths, and it still will not compile. I'm at a stage where I'm experimenting with some things and I need to be able to check them in-game. So this problem has really set me back. I just find it weird that it worked fine and now it doesn't. I hadn't changed anything with radiant's settings. The only things that had changed would be a few downloaded maps that I've placed in my base folder and the new JediMod in my gamedata folder. I shouldn't think that would cause any of this. I appreciate any help (or sympathy) I can get -nomad MTFBWY
pakmannen
can you compile other maps? like, if you just do a square room and put a light and player start there. can you compile then?
nomad
Yes. Since you asked, I gave that a try and it does compile when I make a small box room with a light and a player start. It worked with and without textures. It made bsp files but no nav files. What does this mean? -nomad
pakmannen
that means the problem lies in your level. delete whatever you did since your last compile and see if that helps. or go back to a previous save if you have one.
Wes Marrakesh
well, do what pakmannen said with a change: if you remember what you have added since last succesful compile, remove it all and add it piece-by-piece.
nomad
Thanks guys That's weird though, because one of the levels is just a domed ceiling test from RichDeisel's Tutorial. I don't know what I may have done wrong, but thanks, I suppose that's actually good news. I'll check the levels a little more, but I'm really stumped as to what I may have done wrong. -nomad MTFBWY
