I am not sure how you would load up then mesh and re-weight it to the NEW jk2 skeleton. Might casue some problems. Do you have access to the SDK of the model? Anavel Gato Posted August 12, 2002 Share Posted August 12, 2002 As far as I know you can't convert Q3 models to JK2 because they use a totally different animation system. For Q3 the animations are created for every model seperately and for JK2 the animations are the same for all models and the animation isn't done for every model. The way to get a Q3 model into JK2 is to: - Get the Q3 model in GMax, Milkshape 3D or 3D studio Max alligned to the JK2 skeleton - Segement and cap the model - Assign the vertext weights in 3D Studio max 4.x - Link everything together - Export it to a XSI file The process is described in Spacemonkey's tutorial that comes with the Jedi knight editing tools v2.
