kya4life
Can anyone be kind enough to tell me how to add glass to my levels? Is it just a texture? If so, where is it? How thick do i make the brush? Will i have to texture bothsides of the glass? Can anyone explain the dos and donts with glass? And also how do i make it breakable? thanx in advance, to anyone who replys.
RichDiesal
Just put the shader common/glass (or any variant) onto the face of a brush. Boom, you have glass. Texture any side of it that you want to see glass. If you want it to be breakable, convert the glass brush into a func_glass.

Catscratch
Remember reflective floors ?. It would be the same with those glasses which can reflect some of the room. I gotta try that out.
Catscratch
Well i can't get those reflective glass shaders work. They reflect nothing. Tried with misc_portal_surface, nothing happens. Maybe it works with 32 bit color depth but ive tried that with 16 bit. The comp at work doesnt support 32 bit.
RichDiesal
Reflective glass reflects blaster shots while regular glass does not. Reflective both sides is for when you want to be able to reflect your shot off the backside of the shader (rather useless except in very specific situations).
