As I said above you have to delete everything except the "class func_group". Then it should work properly (It worked for me)

This is off topic but...

Everytime I see the title for this thread (bumps and hills), I'm reminded of the sea of womens bodies that looks like bumps and hills in the begining of the new James bond trailer.

Yeah, it looks pretty good, shows a bmw sliding around on the ice as it's being chased, also some surfing, and a few other cool looking stunts etc.

But if you want to see a current Bond-like flick, check out xXx which is basically the white trash version of James bond, but has some kick ass stunts in it (although they may be a bit over the top) :)

Don't get me wrong though, I really dug it!!

Gemsurf is good--but takes a while to truly learn--especially if you are doing a large map and using one surface.

I would suggest making a simple patch mesh and adding rows to it--then bending it how you like with the vertex tool. You will have lots of control over it.

Just made a kool hills with a river and all but after I compiled it and tryed to devmap it I got

ERROR

MAX_PATCH_PLANES

Can someone help???

Probably it is too big to be only one patch mesh. buckman had the same error and splitting his cone into four bevels helped him out.

Can you make your terrain out of two halves of it then put them together in the map?

in GTK, press Pulgins ---> GtkGenSurf

from there you can choose if you want to generate a ceiling, groundterrain or walls :) jope this hasnt been mention earlier, i havnt red the whole thread
