Project_Fusion Posted August 16, 2002 Posted August 16, 2002 Hi, O.o I don't really know... BUT I had a smiliar problem, and a few reinstalls fixed it. Try it I guess... Sorry I'm not being much help. Rich
Gohan_Trunksss Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 Gustaf im haveing the same problem as you. does yours say a error in the text when starting up Radient? i use GTK radient and when i stat it up it says Looked for a 'C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\Radiant/shortcuts.ini' keyboard shortcuts file, not found and it makes all the files needed except the .bsp it seems to have a problem with that, but it did make a file i never seen before its a .lin file, anyone have a clue what its for?
monsoontide Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 If you're only getting a BAK file generated then there is problem in your map. (I just had a similar problem with the compile only generating BAK files and no BSP) My problem were some custom textures I was using were either the wrong size or wrong colour depth. - In fact this was so bad at one point it would actually kill the sof2map.exe program. Other problems that could cause this include 'bad' brushes - nasty things - I've had radiant compile infinitely long brushes that run through the whole map! These can be harder to find. I have posted the web adress of a Q3Radiant errors list before in another thread, but I'm at work and don't have it handy at the moment. If none of the solutions suggested by other here help, I can repost the web address later. Good Luck Monsoontide
Gohan_Trunksss Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 ok just a question, whats this mean? i found it in my junk.txt for radient. ********************** ******* leaked ******* ********************** WARNING: fog brush 200 has multiple visible sides WARNING: fog brush 194 has multiple visible sides WARNING: fog brush 194 has multiple visible sides WARNING: fog brush 194 has multiple visible sides WARNING: fog brush 193 has multiple visible sides WARNING: fog brush 193 has multiple visible sides Exceeded MAX_MAP_FOGS (30) hmmm something about fog but i took all the fog out and tried again and nothing. anyways i saw that forum of errors not to long ago ill see if i can find it.

JonM Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 gustaf I had the SetQdirFromPath problem, it was because the .map was not in the right directory your .map it should be in gamedata/base/maps hope that helps
Spoon_Gouge Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 Here's a great spot for radient errors that you MAY find in your Junk.txt file that's made when you compile. Originally posted by Monsoontide Radient Eroors link Spoon_Gouge
