installing mod problem

I have installed my mods to the proper directory (eg. gamedata/base/ but they don't appear in the setup/mods in single or multiplayer. Is there something more i need to do?

not all mods go in the base folder, if its a mod like jedimod or promod then it must be in its own folder in gamedata

 

ex: /gamedata/jedimod
