The Dome

I'm just wondering, is there a way of making a dome quickly, as I usually make a sphere, then cut it in half, but then I have to go through selecting all of the surfaces to move, and i'd like it if someone knew a quicker way of doing it or selecting all the surfaces at once, as selecting one then choosing select touching only selects a few others, and I need this for the AoTCTC.

Also, If you want to select a big group of brushes you can make one big brush that surrounds all the brushes that you want to select and then go to Selection>Select>Select Inside or you can use the Select Inside button on the toolbar. This will select all the brushes inside that one big brush you made and also delete that one big brush as well.
