Yeah sorry about the last thread...apparently LucasForums went the way of the crapper...at least I hope it's fixed now..

Anyway. My latest concoction from my feeble mind. This was made in TrueSpace 5.1

So what do you all think? Any ideas? Keep in mind that I'm a beginner @ TrueSpace (or modeling in general). I tossed the idea of placing "fin" grips (those seen on the lower half of Vader's and Luke's hilts) about but I don' know how that is done.

Hmmm, I think the metal could use a bit of a duller look. You could probably achieve this By darking the base color (GREY). If you notice the lightsabers form the movie...you'll find them by doing a google search...you'll notice that the new sabers models are not so shinny, and a darker in color......Just a though, it's a custom saber so your the artist on this one........Keep it up man.

Why thank you all for the nice comments :)

I added grips and restored more to the previous shinyness. I was hesitant about adding them but I think they look nifty :)

As for the poly count...hmmm...I dunno :p I'm gonna have to learn to figure that out :p I'm sure there's a feature in TS to get the count.

Hey,

No new screenies to report but I wanna let you all know that my school commenced this 3rd of September so my time as a padawan learner modeler will be less available but I still wanna do this stuff :)

So when I have the time I'll still make lightsabers then progress into more complicated stuff. Gonna need help ya know :D

Anyway, a bientot!
