SPY_jmr1 Posted September 7, 2002 Posted September 7, 2002 moving to MAPPING, someone should be able to fix you up.
Karshaddii Posted September 7, 2002 Posted September 7, 2002 Sup. Unzip this file: C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\base\assets0.pk3 Personally, I would create a separate folder and extract that into it. Then create a brush--press N and enter "music" as the key--and in the value box--type in the path of the music you want--cept with FORWARD slashes. ex: (my fav music) music/yavin_final/yavfinal_explore.mp3 Then press enter and delete the brush you made. (it was only made to access WorldSpawn. Anybody--if I am wrong--please point it out to him....its 3:11 AM...im tired...but sleep is for sissies. Must...keep...going....*CONK* ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz
Leslie Judge Posted September 7, 2002 Posted September 7, 2002 A little add-on: you don't have to create that brush, just push the 'N' button (with nothing selected) and scroll down to Worldspawn and click on it.
Karshaddii Posted September 7, 2002 Posted September 7, 2002 Depends wether you are using GTK or Radiant now doesn't it.
Leslie Judge Posted September 7, 2002 Posted September 7, 2002 Hmm... I've never seen any difference. It works for both. Now. For me.
Madjester46 Posted September 8, 2002 Author Posted September 8, 2002 listen thx for all ur guys help but....i'm so retarded i can't get it to work ok...here is what i got...i got a worldspawn with the key as music then in the value i can't seem to get it right.....the exact postition of the file and name is C:/Programfiles/lucasarts/starwarsjediknight(or whatever )/gamdata/base/music/starwars-duel of the fates.mp3......so can u guys plz tell me exactly what the path has to be to play this damn song....been at it for days now:(
Madjester46 Posted September 8, 2002 Author Posted September 8, 2002 Sorry but i really need this answered *looks to see if anyone is looking* *bumb* phew....
Leslie Judge Posted September 8, 2002 Posted September 8, 2002 The value should be music/starwars-duel of the fates.mp3 However I'm not sure game will accept spaces in the filename, so try change the filename. Advice: make a folder in the music folder with the name of your map, and put the related music files into it.
Madjester46 Posted September 8, 2002 Author Posted September 8, 2002 O my god people i'm going crazy ive done everything u guys have said and it still doesn't work...i put in a worldspawn..and it says it cannot creat an enity or whatever...then i bring up the menu...and put music into the key and in the value i put music/Starwars-Duelofthefates.mp3....cause its in my base folder(the music folder is in the base folder and the song is in there)...and it still doesn work....ahhhhhhhhhh what am i doing wrong
Catscratch Posted September 8, 2002 Posted September 8, 2002 Run the game. Open the console and use playmusic filename Find the proper filename entry. It could be music/blabla.mp3, /music/blabla.mp3 Even it can be only blabla.mp3 If you hear your music playing then use the same as the value of the music key of worldspawn.
Leslie Judge Posted September 9, 2002 Posted September 9, 2002 Yeah. I have to use /music/xxx.mp3. Some people don't need the beginning slash. Oh! You can't create a Worldspawn entity so don't worry about that. It's created automatically.
