Guest darthclark
After a couple of months of frustration I finally finished the dreamcast version with darth maul. The only reason I was able to do this was because of the code posted by Dave Maul on Feb. 01. Getting past the first two battles and not losing all health and lives was virtually impossible (only once did I make it to the very end and then of course promptly die as it is almost impossible.....almost). By skipping right to the end you avoid the frustration that is ultimately your own undoing. Stretch all of your health and force out until the very last room (and then hope to god the red chance power up is not a challenge). I find that holding block and then using XX combinations is somewhat effective. Of course like Plo Koon you have to run away after a while because he eventually catches on. I think I figured out why this section was made so damn hard though....Maul does not unlock anything!!!! They probably didn't want anyone to realize this fact. Imagine my surprise. I have been lead to believe that on the playstation version it unlocks invincibility. Is there anyone else who has defeated it and come across the same absurd result? Guest Darth Wart
Defeating Maul with Maul (without codes) on the DC is the ONE thing I've never been able to do -- after weeks of trying I only managed to make it to the reactor room once. I disagree with you, though, when you seem to suggest that the gamemakers arranged things like this on purpose. I think the difficulty of the challenge is due solely to thoughtless, improvident programming. I mean, it makes no sense at all that the twiggy battle droid can kick the **** out of Maul, while Maul himself is lucky to even get a shot in against an opponent against whom, presumably, he is evenly matched. ------------------ Wart Get your free JPB guide at: http://jedipowerbattlesguide.homestead.com/JPB.html

Guest Blackandy
With all characters you have to fight maul, then he runs away for the nest fight. Here if you stay to the north side of the room you can bypass him without a fight. just keep jumping at the far easern side of the room ( north = top of the screen) on the next fight on the bridge you can trick him into jumping off with a jedi jump once to get off the light bridge, he follows and the second to get back on. you have to fight him on the next T shaped section. in the last three rooms you have to beat him and make sure you run ahead of him and you can skip the next two fights , beat him one the last fight, the only character i cannot beat maul with is Plo Klo???
