SAIK HUAT
How would you go about weighting a dress around two legs? I have tried every variation and looked high and low for tutorials. Nowhere seems to know!!. I have also tryed at this forum once before but no luck, not even a reply! Is it to do with the deforming/morphing gizmo? sithlord-II
best bet for a dress is to simply weight the corresponding vertices of the dress, to how the legs underneath are weighted, and towards the middle of the dress, blend it with the alternate leg that is the best solution i have seen, to avoid too much clipping between the legs and skirt, or dress. SAIK HUAT
I have tried that. What I did was paint the weights in-between the corresponding leg bones, onto the leg bones until they showed an orange colour. Most of the animations work with this effect, but when the character walks straight forward it doesnt work to how i would like? What colours should i be painting the weights? Should i also add the pelvis bone and paint the weights onto to that bone inbetween the legs lightly (blue)?
