"thA dekMan"
Okay right now I have a GeForce2 MX 200... which is sh*t. Plain and simple. Now I want to upgrade, but we don't have the money to get a GeForce 4 Ti, or the new Radeon card 9700 Pro (which is simply amazing.) Now I am either thinking about a GeForce3 Ti, but I am not sure which one. I think the 500 has 64mb of ram, but the 200 has 128. Which one is better? But I can get a Radeon 8500 LE Pro (lil crappier than 8500) pretty cheap, and was wondering if you guys think its worth it. Or will it get outdated soon. I was thinking on waiting until the NV30 came out, so hopefully GF4 Ti's prices would drop. What do you think? What should I buy? I need some help. I have around $200 canadian to spend. I guess basically what I'm asking is will the Radeon 8500 LE Pro last for the next generation games (i.e. Doom III). My comp is 1.5ghz. 256mb ram, we will be getting 256 DDR soon. thanks guys. gorganfloss
I would wait till the prices dropped a bit but I suck at stuff like that.
Lord_FinnSon
Perhaps you could consider of buying GeForce 4 Ti 4200(look for Sparkle for example which has 128MB and VIVO). The price is low, performance might be a little bit better than Radeon 8500 IN SOME CASES and you still get all the features of GeForce 4 line; of course it also depends on what CPU and mobo you have and how much memory. Otherwise take GeForce3 Ti 500.
