set up your directory as follows;

c:/base/models/players/

in the players folder have the _humanoid folder with _humanoid.gla inside of it

also in the players folder, have your models stuff.

in the base folder have all the jk2 tools

set the preferences in assimilate again and try it again.

Great thanks!

Well, I'm still having trouble. I found previous threads with directions as well, and at the addendum's advice I installed my game into a c:/games folder.

I also created a c:/base/models/players/mymodel and _humaniod directory with the appropriate files inside.

Inside the model.car file I've tried both paths

c:/base/models/players/_humanoid/_humanoid.gla

c:/base/models/players/mymodel/root -makeskin -smooth

and

models/players/_humanoid/_humanoid.gla

models/players/mymodel/root -makeskin -smooth

for the assimilate preferences I think i've tried most combinations.

I put carcass in the _humaniod folder and pointed it there

c:/base/models/players/_humanoid/carcass.exe

the enum file path has remained the same

c:/games/jk2/gamedata/tools/gamesource/anims.h

in the quake directory I left it blank and also tried

c:\base\

c:/base/

c:\games\jk2\gamedata\base

c:/games/jk2/gamedata/base

The xsi exported successfully from what I can tell. I uvmapped it with tga's and they are all in the mymodel directory. I imported this xsi and it looked ok.

the error I'm getting now when opening the model.car file in the c:/base/models/players/mymodel/model.car is . . .

"c:/base/models/players/_humanoid/_humanoid.gla not found" -- but it is there.

any one know why this is happening????

thanks!!!
