Merry Moth
ok i have a 64mb nvidia gforce 2 MX/MX 400. i read on the system requirements that the gforce 2 series was supported. i have windows XP now (i totaly upgraded my system this weekend so i have a 1.5ghz, 512mb ram). ok so the game instals. i click on "single player game". it begins to load up and then it exits out of the loading process, saying that "OpenGL not supported" or "cannot find OpenGL" or something like that. i wasl ooking in the manual and i found my vid card listed under the Win95 supported ones but like i said i have XP. reading in the troubleshooting guide it said to get the Win95gl.exe or whatever to stop the problem but that was only for win 95 i believe. please help me here? SearcherUK
You didn't mention which drivers you're using. I assume you're still using the ones installed with XP. Windows XP automatically supports NVIDIA’s GeForce 2, but only as far as basic display properties for the windows desktop. To gain OpenGL support (required for most games, Inc JKii) you will need to install the cards drivers. I would suggest that you get the latest generic driver from NVIDIA ( http://www.nvidia.com ). Version 30.82 is now available for download. You'll find that this will add both stability and performance to your current settings. Hope this helps The mad keyboard strikes again - i've edited the URL above to correctly point to the relevant website.
Merry Moth
well, i dont' know what drivers i'm using for it. i don't know if it came with an installation disk or not cuz i put it in my computer and it never asked for the driver disk or whatever so yeah i think it should be the XP drivers. one problem would be that i don't have the internet connected to that computer as i can't install the hardware due to some malfunction with my computer where it kinda stalls up when installing new hardware...i might just reformat the drives and all because i don't have anything except games on it and maybe one saved game in one game (this computer is days old LOL). but otherwise i'd be using a nVidia 3dforce 4 MX 420 but i can't get the software/hardware to install. lol. but anyhow i'll try out that link you gave me and see how that works out. thanks
