Help Please - Game Crashes

Can anyone make a suggestion that may solve the following problem please?

I`m currently playing v1.03 on the ns_starpad level. When I come out of the dark room, and progress to the end of the platform, the game crashes out, and I recieve the following error message:

Run out of transform space for Ghoul2 models. Adjust MinimHeapSize in SV_SpawnServer.

I haven`t got a clue. Anybody?

I`m running an Athlon XP 1600+, 256MB mem, GEForce 3 Card (64MB), Soundblaster AWE64.

Thanks for any help you may be able to offer.

I guess you can do two things here.....

-Adjust the settings to lower the graphics/shadow details since you seem to be running ou of space (it has been discussed by Raven developers that you need 512 MB RAM for Max details/shadows....)

Or....

-go to the console (shift and the button next to the 1 (~)) then type

devmapall

after that type:

sv_spawnserver 1

(if it's in Single player, you might want to try "helpusobi 1" without the quotes instead of devmapall)

Thanks very much for the suggestion, its very appreciated.

Unfortunately, neither approach seems to work.

I entered the commands you decribed, they were accepted when entered. I don`t know what response (if any) is expected, but none of the commands issued a response, and the game still crashed.

I`ve tryed playing the game with low settings (set to `fast`) and still no joy :(

I tried entering the commands both at the menu stage and just prior to starting my saved game after Ive loaded it.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks again.

No problem, sorry the suggestions didn't work.....

The "sp_spawnserver 1" command was supposed to allow more space for the Ghoul2 models (it wasn't supposed to give any response back after you typed it...), so since the command seemed to have been entered correctly (but did not resolve the issue):

-Try installing the 1.04 patch. This might be one of the issues resolved by an updated patch....

-If you haven't done so, try downloading the latest drivers for your videocard (either from the manufacturer's web-site or from Nvidia's

-If none of these work, please try posting this problem to the Technical Help Forum. Issues like these get resolved a lot faster there

Good Luck!
