OOM-9(2)
Hi, im a novice fed player, any good tactics?
Kryllith
Massed HHDs work beautifully, though you'll want to back them up with AA artillery to keep fighters/bombers off them. Doesn't hurt to bring in a few fighters as well, especially in CC, to keep Air Cruisers from bombarding them. Of course, if you're playing CC then you're going to have to bring some form of wall/building destroyer, since HHDs only do 1 point of damage/shot against them (if you're playing pre-CC, massed HHDs take buildings out fine on their own). Sithmaster_821
Take advantage of their lack of houses to advance quickly and create an army quickly. The trade feds seem very popular mongst novices (atleast they were when i was one) mainly because their unique units is strong and straight forward and you dont have to build houses. Utmost of all, be creative and try everything.
lukeiamyourdad
Their mechs are also very good but avoid making troopers(even if they have Adv mounties). They also have one of the best heavies so be sure to take advantage of that. Oh and they also have those upgrades lowering building cost, technologies cost and Ore mining speed. Hey they have great advantages.

AlliedCommander
I'd say tf is a fair civ. Hvy weapons is a downside for me; i prefer the other weapons classes. As for sea, I can be effective, but many maps are devoid of water. But the traits of being second to only empire mechs and prefab-less saves them. DD's seem to be very powerful to many players, but they cost a lot. This in itself does not mean anything, but destroyers can be very vulnerable to turrets, assualt mechs, bombers, and artillery. Droidekas are extremely effective against any troopers since they can mow down any trooper. They do cost much but their shields highly compensates for that. They are not vulnerable to artillery but to mech destroyers.
