Guest Pizza the Hutt
Quite literally, I might add. If you're having trouble beating Maul with Adi, try this strategy: You'll primarily use the square-square-x combo that ends in a kick. It's the same button sequence as the Plo combo used to defeat Maul, but this one is much more effective. The ending kick is almost a guaranteed hit, and it's very satisfying to kick the **** out of Maul. I don't know why. You've got an excellent shot at landing two and even three hits out of this combo. Assuming you land the kick, Maul will be temporarily stunned, which is why I favor this over the square-square-square combo that leaves you vulnerable after your final hit. Don't rush to hit the buttons as fast as you can when Maul is stunned. I took about a one-second pause before calmly repeating the sequence. If Maul does block your kick, you're going to get hit...there's really nothing you can do to avoid it. Adi is the worst character I've used at retreating from a Maul advance...basically, she can't do it at all. You might try a quick block followed by and x-x combo or a long-range force attack to buy you some time. But even when Maul gets his licks in, the square-square-x combo is too lethal...you'll finish him off very quickly. And what's with the lame race Adi unlocks? It makes the Gungan Round-up look like a viable stand-alone game. I though she unlocked Panaka or Amidala...

Guest mtw4
Pizza, I finally beat Maul with Adi today. I cheated though. I only used square, square, square and force powers because I never hit a rythym with that combo you used, even though that combo is VERY effective if you can get the kick off every time. Basically, I skipped the second fight by doing that trick that has been floating around this site. After he runs away the first time, run after him but stay at the top of the screen against the wall so that he doesn't follow you when you run by him. He will actually stand there more-or-less off-screen while you run to the top right corner of the screen. Then start double-jumping while pushing up. you will open the next chamber and Maul will stay behind off-screen so you don't have to fight him. Since I find Maul hardest at that second encounter, this saves a lot of health for later. the only problem with this trick is that you can't get the force and health power up when you get into the next room. For some reason, leaving maul behind you prevents you from getting over to the far right computer and power-ups. BUT, you can continue on the level and jump up to the ring and walkway. this really did allow me to get through the first four encounters so that I could get the checkpoint. It took me five credits to beat maul in the final room, but I finally did it with the triple-square combo and long-range force.
