Monkers
the hitch warning when you start the server is normal. You will probably also get them when you scroll the console window as well. You shouldn't get them when the server is running, and people are playing though - if you do it means your computer can't cope. The maxrate depends on your upload speed mainly, and the number of players. My server is set up for 8 players, and can only handle a maxrate of 2100 - this is on a 512/128 connection, so if you have an upload speed of 256, a maxrate of 4200 for 8 players should be ok.
